A RESOLUTION


Congratulating educator Dr. Vickie Tribble for becoming assistant principal of the year; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Vickie Tribble, Ph.D., was named the 2006 assistant principal of the year by the Georgia Association of Secondary School Principals; and

WHEREAS, she has spent 17 years at Johnson High School, initially as a business education teacher before serving as assistant principal for five years; and

WHEREAS, her duties as assistant principal include overseeing the Career Technology Agriculture Education program as well as overall curriculum and systems; and

WHEREAS, since receiving her bachelor's degree in business administration from Meredith College, Dr. Tribble has taken every opportunity to further her education, earning a number of college degrees including master's degrees in both economics and secondary education at North Georgia College & State University as well as a doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and

WHEREAS, she has approached her position with an attitude that equates leadership with service, applying the same drive that she has demonstrated in her own education towards the education of others; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Tribble's hard work, practiced sensitivity, and careful management have made the difference for the youth of Johnson High School and the State of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that members of this body congratulate Dr. Vickie Tribble on being named assistant principal of the year for 2006 and commend her contributions in the field of education.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Vickie Tribble.
