RESOLUTION
Honoring
the life of Jamie Marie Bevilacqua Barrett; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia has lost one of its most distinguished citizens with the
passing of Jamie Marie Bevilacqua Barrett; and
WHEREAS,
Jamie Marie Bevilacqua Barrett was born on May 1, 1911, in Crystal Falls,
Michigan; and
WHEREAS,
Jamie was joined in marriage to Michael Barrett, and the two established their
home together in Mishawaka, Indiana, and raised two treasured children;
and
WHEREAS,
Jamie and Michael celebrated over 60 years of marriage together;
and
WHEREAS,
Jamie lived for 94 years and enjoyed many hours of sharing fellowship with
friends over games of bridge; and
WHEREAS,
Jamie was a lady of the gentlest variety who pursued her faith with the utmost
devotion and cared for her family with unshakeable dedication.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor and remember the life of Jamie Marie Bevilacqua Barrett and
express their sincerest condolences to her family.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jamie Marie
Bevilacqua Barrett.
