BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing a new charter for the City of Carnesville, approved April
13, 2001 (Ga. L. 2001, p. 3834), as amended, particularly by an Act
approved May 17, 2004 (Ga. L. 2004, p. 3606), so as to change the
corporate limits of the city; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing a new charter for the City of Carnesville, approved April 13, 2001
(Ga. L. 2001, p. 3834), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 17,
2004 (Ga. L. 2004, p. 3606), is amended by adding a new
subsection to Section 1.11 to read as follows:
"(d)
In addition to the corporate boundaries described in subsections (a) and (c) of
this section, the corporate boundaries of the city shall also include the
following described territory:
Parcel
I:
All
that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 264th G. M. District of
Franklin County, Georgia, CONTAINING 1.35 acres, more or less, being bounded now
or formerly as follows: On the North by lands of Nesbit; on the East and
Southeast by lands of Porter; on the Southwest by lands of Nesbit; and on the
West by lands of Nesbit.
Said
lands being more particularly described in a plat of survey for James Short,
dated October 18, 2006, prepared by Bartlett & Cash Land Surveyors, Inc.,
Registered Land Surveyor, recorded in Plat Book 28, Page 325, Franklin County
Public Records.
Parcel
II:
All
that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 264th G. M. District of
Franklin County, Georgia, CONTAINING 3.77 acres, more or less, being bounded now
or formerly as follows: On the East and Southeast by right-of-way of State
Routes No. 106 and No. 59; on the Southwest by lands of Nesbit; on the
East and Northeast by lands of Nesbit; and on the North by lands of
Sartain.
Said
lands being more particularly described in a plat of survey for Hinton L. Porter
and Sue C. Porter, dated December 29, 2006, prepared by Bartlett & Cash Land
Surveyors, Inc., Registered Land Surveyor, recorded in Plat Book 28, Page 326,
Franklin County Public Records."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
