BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Auburn, approved February
17, 1949 (Ga. L. 1949, p. 807), as amended, particularly by an Act approved
April 19, 1989 (Ga. L. 1989, p. 5011), so as to change the corporate boundaries
of the city; to deannex certain property from the city; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating a new charter for the City of Auburn, approved February 17, 1949
(Ga. L. 1949, p. 807), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 19,
1989 (Ga. L. 1989, p. 5011), is amended by adding at the end of Section 1.11 the
following:
"(c)
The following described parcels of land, as identified by the taxpayers,
addresses, and tax ID numbers therefor as such were on file and of record in the
office of the tax commissioner of Barrow County as of February 15, 2007, are
hereby deannexed from the City of Auburn, and the corporate boundaries of the
city shall no longer include such parcels, any change in taxpayers after such
date notwithstanding:
