BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act to incorporate the City of Ambrose in Coffee County, approved March
4, 1955 (Ga. L. 1955, p. 2662), as amended, as so to provide that
all municipal elections for the city shall be conducted by the Coffee County
Board of Elections and Registration; to provide for related matters; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act to incorporate the City of Ambrose in Coffee County, approved March 4, 1955
(Ga. L. 1955, p. 2662), as amended, is amended by revising
Section 9 as follows:
"SECTION
9.
(a)
Persons receiving the highest number of votes for the respective office sought
shall be elected.
(b)
All elections shall be held and conducted in accordance with Chapter 2 of Title
21 of the O.C.G.A., the 'Georgia Election Code.' The governing authority of the
city shall contract with the Coffee County Board of Elections and Registration
for the conducting of all municipal elections."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
