BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act to provide a new charter for the City of Douglas, approved March
10, 1993 (Ga. L. 1993, p. 4022), as amended, so as to provide that all
municipal elections for the city shall be conducted by the Coffee County Board
of Elections and Registration; to provide for related matters; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act to provide a new charter for the City of Douglas, approved March 10, 1993
(Ga. L. 1993, p. 4022), as amended, is amended by revising
Section 5.13 as follows:
"SECTION
5.13.
Manner of conducting elections.
Manner of conducting elections.
All
elections shall be held and conducted in accordance with Chapter 2 of Title 21
of the O.C.G.A., the 'Georgia Election Code.' The governing authority of the
city shall contract with the Coffee County Board of Elections and Registration
for the conducting of all municipal elections."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
