AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act placing the coroner of Bulloch County on a salary basis, approved
April 4, 1967 (Ga. L. 1967, p. 2524), as amended, particularly by an Act
approved March 9, 1989 (Ga. L. 1989, p. 3622), so as to change certain
provisions relating to compensation and expenses of the coroner; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act placing the coroner of Bulloch County on a salary basis, approved April 4,
1967 (Ga. L. 1967, p. 2524), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March
9, 1989 (Ga. L. 1989, p. 3622), is amended by revising Section 1 to read as
follows:
"SECTION
1.
Unless
otherwise provided by general law, the coroner of Bulloch County is placed on a
salary basis for all of his or her services and shall be compensated in the
amount of $5,000.00 per annum to be paid in equal monthly installments from the
funds of Bulloch County. In addition to providing reasonable and necessary
expenses for the operation of the coroner´s office as allowed by general
law, the governing authority of Bulloch County is also authorized to provide the
coroner with a travel allowance in an amount deemed appropriate by the governing
authority."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
