BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing for a merger of the independent school system of the City
of Cordele and the school districts in the County of Crisp lying outside the
corporate limits of said City, approved February 11, 1957 (Ga. L. 1957, p.
2066), as amended, so as to change the compensation of members of the Crisp
County Board of Education; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for a merger of the independent school system of the City of
Cordele and the school districts in the County of Crisp lying outside the
corporate limits of said City, approved February 11, 1957 (Ga. L. 1957, p.
2066), as amended, is amended by revising the first sentence in the last
undesignated paragraph of Section 5 to read as follows:
"Each
member of the board shall be compensated in the amount of $125.00 for each day
of attendance at meetings of the board and training sessions and conferences
approved by the board."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
