BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act changing the method of selecting the members of the board of
education of Miller County, approved March 21, 1968 (Ga. L. 1968, p. 2529), as
amended, so as to provide for the compensation of the chairperson and members of
the board; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act changing the method of selecting the members of the board of education of
Miller County, approved March 21, 1968 (Ga. L. 1968, p. 2529), as amended, is
amended by revising Section 2A as follows:
"SECTION
2A.
The
chairperson of the board of education of Miller County shall receive a salary of
$300.00 per month, and the other members of the board of education shall receive
a salary of $250.00 per month."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
