BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to state license requirements and regulations for the
manufacture, distribution, and sale of malt beverages, so as to provide for
additional requirements with respect to carbon dioxide filters; to provide for
costs; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Article
2 of Chapter 5 of Title 3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
state license requirements and regulations for the manufacture, distribution,
and sale of malt beverages, is amended by adding a new Code section as
follows:
"3-5-38.1.
A
licensed brewer or wholesaler may provide carbon dioxide filters to a licensed
retail dealer without charge and may affix such carbon dioxide filters to tanks
at no cost to the licensed retail dealer. A licensed brewer may provide carbon
dioxide filters to a licensed wholesaler without charge. The licensed brewer
shall pay the cost of any filter provided without charge by a licensed
wholesaler to a licensed retail dealer."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
