BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the State Court of DeKalb County, formerly known as the
Civil and Criminal Court of DeKalb County, approved February 14, 1951 (Ga. L.
1951, p. 2401), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 25, 2002 (Ga.
L. 2002, p. 4602), so as to change certain fees; to provide for certain fees; to
provide for related matters; to provide an effective date and automatic repeal;
to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the State Court of DeKalb County, formerly known as the Civil and
Criminal Court of DeKalb County, approved February 14, 1951 (Ga. L. 1951, p.
2401), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 25, 2002 (Ga. L. 2002,
p. 4602), is amended by adding a new Section 11C to read as
follows:
"SECTION
11C.
In
addition to the fees and costs provided for in Section 11B of this Act, the
clerk shall collect a technology fee in the amount of $5.00 which the clerk
shall pay into the DeKalb County Justice Technology Fund. The clerk shall pay
such funds on a monthly basis at the end of each calendar
month."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on August 1, 2008, and shall be repealed by operation
of law on June 30, 2013.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
