BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating a system of public schools for the City of Marietta in the
County of Cobb, approved December 29, 1890 (Ga. L. 1890-91, Vol. II, p. 1014),
as amended particularly by an Act approved May 29, 2007 (Ga. L. 2007, 4201), so
as to provide for compensation of the board; to provide an effective date; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating a system of public schools for the City of Marietta in the County
of Cobb, approved December 29, 1890 (Ga. L. 1890-91, Vol. II, p. 1014), as
amended particularly by an Act approved May 29, 2007 (Ga. L. 2007, 4201), is
amended by revising subsection (c) of Section 3 as follows:
"(c)
The members of the board shall be paid $576.00 per month as compensation out of
the budget of the board of education revenues, and the chairperson shall be
compensated an additional $104.00 per month out of the budget of the board of
education revenues."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on July 1, 2008.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
