By: Representative Beasley-Teague of the 65th

A RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, unfortunately, the hearing impaired are unable in many circumstances to receive the urgent messages; and

WHEREAS, it would be a great service to hearing impaired citizens if television stations included a sign language translation of all urgent public service messages.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body urge television stations in the state to include simultaneous sign language translations of all urgent public service warnings and messages.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the public and the press.
