A RESOLUTION

Expressing regret at the passing of Edwin Craig Eidson; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, on August 30, 2005, the State of Georgia lost one of its finest and most distinguished citizens in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina with the passing of Edwin Craig Eidson at age 44; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Eidson was born on June 1, 1961, in Carroll County, the son of Benny and Gloria Eidson; and

WHEREAS, he managed the family farm, was an avid hunter, and was a strong Christian and active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, his heart belonged to his family and he was a loving husband to his wife, Cindy Little Eidson, and an adoring father to his three wonderful children, Sarah Elizabeth, Emma Grace, and Samuel Roy; and

WHEREAS, he is also survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, a brother and a sister-in-law, two fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, five nieces, and three nephews; and

WHEREAS, it is altogether fitting and proper that this body honors the memory of this beloved citizen.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express their deepest and most sincere regret at the passing of Edwin Craig Eidson.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Edwin Craig Eidson.
