RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. Larry Stewart for outstanding contributions to education in Georgia; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
during his tenure at South Columbus Elementary School in Muscogee County, Mr.
Larry Stewart faithfully and passionately directed his time and talent toward
guiding each and every one of his students to a brighter future;
and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Mr. Stewart exemplified the selfless dedication that is
characteristic of our finest teachers; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Stewart's commitment to excellence in education earned the respect of
students, parents, and colleagues, and for his laudable work he has been honored
as the South Columbus Elementary School Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of
Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor
the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this exceptional
teacher.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Larry Stewart for his outstanding work, congratulate him on being selected
as the South Columbus Elementary School Teacher of the Year, and express their
gratitude for his invaluable contributions to education in Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Larry Stewart.
