RESOLUTION
Commending
Joe Saulsbury; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Joe Saulsbury is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification
of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected professional educator and administrator has served with
honor and distinction as teacher, assistant principal, and principal in the
Muscogee County school system; and
WHEREAS,
he believes that his continuing role as an administrator is to act as an
instrument of inspiration and enthusiasm to his pupils and to create a positive
learning environment through the encouragement of competitive instincts in
students and addressing the special needs of his students; and
WHEREAS,
during his tenure as principal of Carver High School, he has maintained a
steadfast commitment to excellence in both the students and the teachers in
Muscogee County; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
classroom teachers and education professionals are making on the quality of
education received by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting
and proper that his superlative accomplishments be recognized
appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend Joe Saulsbury for his almost four decades of sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence he has had upon the lives and futures of
countless young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Joe Saulsbury.
