RESOLUTION
Honoring
Mr. and Mrs. Simon Wooten on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
50 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Simon Wooten were joined in marriage;
and
WHEREAS,
they have been pillars of the community and active members in the Zoar Baptist
Church in Baxley; and
WHEREAS,
throughout 50 years of triumph, joy, disappointment, and quiet routine, their
love and devotion for each other have remained strong; and
WHEREAS,
in 2005, this miraculous couple is celebrating their 50th year of holy
matrimony; and
WHEREAS,
this fine couple has demonstrated exceptional commitment to their community and
state and, through their love and commitment to each other, has been an
excellent example to young couples in their community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
and congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Simon Wooten on their celebration of 50 wonderful
years of marriage and extend sincere wishes for many more happy years
together.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Simon Wooten.
