RESOLUTION
Commending
Pastor Rodney L. Parsley; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
at the age of eight, Pastor Rodney L. Parsley responded to an altar call to be
born again and then received his call to the ministry as a teenager;
and
WHEREAS,
he is the pastor and founder of World Harvest Church, which was established in
1977 in Canal Winchester, Ohio, and reaches millions of people through his
preaching and broadcast media as well as the more than 70 books and study guides
he has authored; and
WHEREAS,
he is the founder of Harvest Preparatory School, established in 1986, and the
Center for Moral Clarity, created in 2004; and
WHEREAS,
in 1990, he founded the World Harvest Bible College, which serves students from
around the globe; and
WHEREAS,
he serves as the CEO of Bridge of Hope Ministries, which brings hope to the
hopeless around the world; and
WHEREAS,
he is also the founder of World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship, and,
under his skillful leadership and wise guidance, this network of members and
churches has grown to include hundreds of churches in 19 nations and nearly
every state; and
WHEREAS,
he is a faithful and devoted husband to his lovely wife, Mrs. Joni Parsley, who
plays a vital rile in advancing the Kingdom of God with her husband, and a
wonderful father to his two children, Ashton and Austin Parsley.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
commending Pastor Rodney L. Parsley for his distinguished service in the
ministry and for the inspiration and hope he brings to the lives of his fellow
man.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Pastor Rodney L. Parsley.
