RESOLUTION
Commending
the Ushers and Usherettes of Thankful Baptist Church; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Thankful Baptist Church has been blessed with an active congregation whose
members constantly answer the call to serve; and
WHEREAS,
the loving and humble efforts of these devout men and women are made tangible
through their participation in church ministries; and
WHEREAS,
two of the most special and dedicated, yet unheralded, ministries are the Ushers
and Usherettes; and
WHEREAS,
these gracious and compassionate men and women greet visitors, supply program
information, assist the elderly or the impaired, and help with all the small
details to make each visit to church by each congregant a loving, enriching,
rewarding, and joyful experience; and
WHEREAS,
they demonstrate daily the precepts of open minds, open hearts, and open doors
and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the enduring example of God's
message of peace and love that they proclaim every day be
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Ushers and Usherettes of Thankful Baptist Church for their many decades of
steadfast, unselfish, and loving service.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Usher Board of
Thankful Baptist Church.
