RESOLUTION
Commending
the Richmond County Neighborhood Associations Alliance, Inc.; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Richmond County Neighborhood Associations Alliance, Inc., comprises
Neighborhood Associations of Augusta and Richmond County; and
WHEREAS,
the alliance provides assistance, in conjunction with local law enforcement
agencies, to communities seeking to establish Neighborhood Watch programs;
and
WHEREAS,
it also acts as a consultant to those organizations, collecting statistical data
relating to local criminal activity, helping to evaluate their effectiveness,
and offering insights for their improvement; and
WHEREAS,
the alliance acts as a liaison between its member communities and law
enforcement agencies, government officials, and the media and injects a sense of
esprit de corps in its members and their communities; and
WHEREAS,
victims of crime benefit from the alliance's moral and technical support;
and
WHEREAS,
the alliance monitors political actions and keeps the general public informed of
those issues being addressed by their local elected officials; and
WHEREAS,
this bipartisan group is helping to restore voter confidence and trust in the
electoral process and is dedicated to upholding the dignity and the laws of
federal, state, and county governments.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Richmond County Neighborhood Associations Alliance, Inc., and its dedicated
service to the citizens of Augusta and Richmond
County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Richmond County Neighborhood Associations Alliance, Inc.
