RESOLUTION
Commending
James Hicks on his selection as the STAR student for Etowah High School; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
the incredible scholastic success of James Hicks, a student at Etowah High
School, is a shining example for all students in Georgia who strive for
excellence; and
WHEREAS,
his hard work and determination have earned him numerous accolades during the
course of his academic career, and he has now been honored by being named as his
high school's STAR student; and
WHEREAS,
James Hicks personifies the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal
adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic
performance; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which all too often dwells on the negative actions of young people,
it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary
accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment to excellence
of this outstanding scholar.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend James Hicks for his spectacular scholastic achievements, including his
selection as the STAR student for Etowah High School, and express to him their
sincerest best wishes for continued academic success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to James Hicks.
