RESOLUTION
Commending
Jennifer Newby on her selection as the STAR student for Woodstock High School;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
the incredible scholastic success of Jennifer Newby, a student at Woodstock High
School, is a shining example for all students in Georgia who strive for
excellence; and
WHEREAS,
her hard work and determination have earned her numerous accolades during the
course of her academic career, and she has now been honored by being named as
her high school's STAR student; and
WHEREAS,
Jennifer Newby personifies the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal
adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic
performance; and
WHEREAS,
in a world that all too often dwells on the negative actions of young people, it
is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary
accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment to excellence
of this outstanding scholar.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
commend Jennifer Newby for her spectacular scholastic achievements, including
her selection as the STAR student for Woodstock High School, and express to her
their sincerest best wishes for continued academic success in the
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jennifer Newby.
