RESOLUTION
Commending
Dr. Greg Fields; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Greg Fields is a highly respected professional educator and administrator
and has served with honor and distinction as assistant superintendent of
curriculum and instruction of the Henry County public schools; and
WHEREAS,
he is president of the Metro Atlanta Instructional Leaders Association;
president of the District 12 Georgia Association of Curriculum and Instruction
Supervisors; and is 2005 recipient of the Georgia Association of Educators
Outstanding Administrator of the Year award; and
WHEREAS,
he is extremely knowledgeable concerning classroom management strategies and
effective implementation of performance standards; and
WHEREAS,
Dr Fields has numerous outstanding achievements and has repeatedly demonstrated
his inspirational dedication to the field of education; and
WHEREAS,
he continues to have important influence on the quality of education received by
the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that his
distinguished accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend Dr. Gregory Oscar Fields for his years of accomplishment
and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia, and for the positive
influence he has had upon the lives and futures of countless young people in
this state and wish him continued success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Gregory Oscar Fields.
