RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Mr. Barry W. Banister; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Barry W. Banister was a beloved resident of Marietta, Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
he had a highly successful career in the automotive industry in metro Atlanta
for over 30 years, during which he served as president and chairman of the board
of The Georgia Independent Automobile Dealers Association; and
WHEREAS,
a devout Christian, Mr. Banister faithfully served several terms as a deacon and
as a high school Sunday School teacher at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in
Marietta; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Banister was deeply dedicated to his family and community and will always be
affectionately remembered by all who had the privilege to know this
extraordinary gentleman for his generosity, integrity, and warm and loving
spirit; and
WHEREAS,
Georgia lost one of its most distinguished and esteemed citizens with the
passing of Mr. Barry W. Banister.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join
together to remember and honor the life of Mr. Barry W. Banister and to extend
their most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Jean Banister.
