RESOLUTION
Commending
Brandon Duggar Griffeth on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Brandon Duggar Griffeth, a member of Boy Scout Troop 50, has earned the rank of
Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
since 1911, the Eagle Scout Award has been the symbol of the highest and most
prestigious achievement among the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS,
Brandon Duggar Griffeth has joined the elite ranks of the top 4 percent of
scouts who achieve the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
the candidate for the rank of Eagle Scout must complete a rigorous program of
training and must demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques
and commitment to the highest ideals of scouting; and
WHEREAS,
the attainment of this rank indicates that a scout has developed leadership
ability, self-confidence, mature judgment, and mental and physical capabilities
that will be of immense benefit throughout his life; and
WHEREAS,
Brandon Duggar Griffeth's Eagle Scout Service Project involved organizing a
group of young men and community leaders who put over 100 man-hours into making
an elementary school safer and more beautiful by building an attractive wooden
fence around a large electrical box, cleaning a flower garden where the children
play and study, and adding an entrance trellis to the garden; and
WHEREAS,
in achieving Eagle Scout status, Brandon Duggar Griffeth has brought honor to
himself, his family, and his troop.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY SENATE that Brandon Duggar Griffeth is recognized
and commended on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and he is extended best
wishes for success and happiness in future endeavors.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Brandon Duggar Griffeth.
