Reed of the 35th, Brown of the 26th, Thompson of the 33rd, Seay of the 34th,
Thomas of the 2nd and others offered the following amendment to the committee
substitute to SB 84 as follows:
By
inserting immediately following line 28 of page 6 the following:
“(d)
Wherever a branch, department, agency or entity of the State of Georgia issues
identification cards or driver’s licenses, the State of Georgia shall
issue at no cost identification cards which contain a picture of the applicant
if the applicant’s income is less than the federal poverty level.”
