A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend an Act providing for the appointment of the chief magistrate of Clayton County, approved March 26, 1984 (Ga. L. 1984, p. 4411), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 2, 1998 (Ga. L. 1998, p. 4262), so as to provide a salary for the chief magistrate, to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
An Act providing for the appointment of the chief magistrate of Clayton County, approved March 26, 1984 (Ga. L. 1984, p. 4411), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 2, 1998 (Ga. L. 1998, p. 4262), is amended by striking in its entirety Subsection (f) of Section 2 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(f) The chief magistrate of Clayton County shall receive a salary in the amount of $115,460.00 paid in equal monthly installments from county funds."

SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2006.

SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
