BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Article 2 of Chapter 4 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to technical and adult education, so as to change certain
provisions relating to meetings of the State Board of Technical and Adult
Education; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Article
2 of Chapter 4 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to technical and adult education, is amended by striking Code Section 20-4-13,
relating to meetings of the State Board of Technical and Adult Education, and
inserting in lieu thereof the following:
∀20-4-13.
The
State Board of Technical and Adult Education shall meet
monthly;
provided, however, that the board may suspend up to two such meetings per year
depending upon the press of business.
Additional meetings may be called by the chairperson or at the request of three
or more of the members. The State Board of Technical and Adult Education shall
adopt procedures for the conduct of its
activities.∀
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
