A RESOLUTION

Celebrating the birth of Mary Elisabeth "Ellie" Casas; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia, on June 24, 2003, at 10:00 A.M., Representative David Casas and Ann E. Casas became the proud parents of a new baby girl, Mary Elisabeth "Ellie" Casas; and

WHEREAS, little Ellie weighed 7 pounds and 14 ounces and is the third grandchild of A. David and Elisa B. Casas and the twenty-first grandchild of Don and Mary Sumners; and

WHEREAS, her birth marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her parents' lives, and they look with great excitement and anticipation toward her bright and promising future; and

WHEREAS, this darling girl is already proving to be a superb big sister to her new baby brother, Jonathan David Casas, who is sure to look up to her as an excellent example and a dear friend and confidant as they grow up together; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia is proud to have this beautiful little angel as one of its young citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body celebrate the birth of Mary Elisabeth "Ellie" Casas, congratulate her parents, Representative David Casas and Ann E. Casas, on the fine young lady she is becoming, and wish this sweet little Georgian a long and happy life.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the proud parents of Mary Elisabeth "Ellie" Casas.
