RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Miss Alexa Turpin on winning the 2006 Miss Georgia Teen America Pageant and
inviting her to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
in January, Miss Alexa Turpin of Albany was crowned as the 2006 Miss Georgia
Teen America at the title's pageant in Macon; and
WHEREAS,
Miss Turpin is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Turpin; and
WHEREAS,
she is a junior at Deerfield Windsor School in Albany; and
WHEREAS,
she triumphed at the 2006 Miss Georgia Teen America Pageant after impressing the
judges with her grace, intelligence, friendly demeanor, and outstanding talent;
and
WHEREAS,
Miss Turpin will represent Georgia this July at the Miss Teen America Pageant in
Nashville, Tennessee, and we are very proud to have our state represented by
such an extraordinary young lady.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in congratulating Miss Alexa Turpin on being named as the 2006
Miss Georgia Teen America and extend their best wishes to her on her upcoming
national competition.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Miss Alexa Turpin is invited to the House of
Representatives for purposes of being recognized by the House and receiving an
appropriate copy of this resolution at a date and time to be fixed by the
Speaker of the House.
