RESOLUTION
Congratulating
the Collins Hill High School Wrestling Team; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Collins Hill High School Wrestling Team is the 2005 Georgia Duals State
Champion; and
WHEREAS,
the Eagles bested a formidable opponent in Parkview High School to capture the
Class AAAAA title; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding group of young men displayed the great confidence and
determination necessary to win a team title in this most demanding sport,
bringing the state championship trophy back to Collins Hill for the second time;
and
WHEREAS,
winners of the 2002 Georgia State Championship and runners-up in 2003 and 2004,
the Eagles are currently ranked within the top 40 of high schools nationwide;
and
WHEREAS,
the members of the team have demonstrated extreme dedication, hard work,
personal sacrifice, and perseverance to achieve this distinction;
and
WHEREAS,
Coach Cliff Ramos and Assistant Coaches Jim Tiller, Jim Gassman, Eric Erbach,
and Josh Rowan have been exceptionally dedicated and capable in the development
and leadership of the wrestling program; and
WHEREAS,
the parents and citizens of Suwanee, Georgia, are extremely proud of the
accomplishments of team members Cody Black, David Clayton, Leon Delain, Nick
Flaherty, Clay Gray, Ryan Gribbin, Ben Hoppenbrouwer, Thomas Knapp, Tyler
Parker, Austin Roney, James Smithson, Tyler Stadulis, Dominic Vercelote, and
Phillip White.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend and congratulate the members of the Collins Hill High School
Wrestling Team on winning the 2005 Georgia Duals State Championship and wish
them every success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Cliff
Ramos on behalf of the team.
