RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Hamilton Elementary School; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Hamilton Elementary School has been selected as a 2005 Georgia School of
Excellence by the Department of Education; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding Colquitt County school stands as one of only 20 schools in the
state to receive this prestigious honor; and
WHEREAS,
selections were based on each
schooĺs
administrative leadership, teacher effectiveness, academic goals and
achievements, school curriculum, discipline, and community involvement and
support; and
WHEREAS,
this superb academic institution is renowned throughout the state for its
innovative programs and for the high level of community support which it
receives; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative school has maintained a proud tradition of excellence in
education, and under the direction of its principal, Brenda K. DeMott, and a
dedicated, capable, and hard-working faculty and staff, the school offers
outstanding educational opportunities for its students.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize Hamilton Elementary School on its selection as a 2005
Georgia School of Excellence and commend its outstanding dedication and
commitment to excellence in education.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Brenda K.
DeMott, principal of Hamilton Elementary School.
