A RESOLUTION

Remembering and honoring the life of John Albert Thrasher; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. John Albert Thrasher was born to Jodie and Charlotte Thrasher and spent his childhood in Macon; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Thrasher graduated from the University of Georgia in 1973 and was a beloved member of the Athens community for 25 years before his move to Commerce in April of 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Thrasher had a distinguished 30 year career as an insurance adjuster, having been a Senior Field Claim Representative, an Associate in Claims, and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, and was employed with Auto Owners Insurance Company for the last 15 years of his life; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Thrasher leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including his wife, Pam Thrasher; his daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Tommy Wilkerson and Wendy and Mickey Payne; his parents, Jodie and Charlotte Thrasher; his brother, Tommy Thrasher; and his granddaughter, Ansley Jewell Payne; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia lost a most estimable citizen on June 13, 2005, with the passing of Mr. John Albert Thrasher.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mr. John Albert Thrasher and extend their most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Pam Thrasher.
