BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 31-7-400 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to definitions relative to hospital acquisitions, so as to amend the definition
of the term "hospital"; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 31-7-400 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
definitions relative to hospital acquisitions, is amended by striking paragraph
(8) in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(8)
'Hospital' means any institution classified and having a permit as a hospital
from the department pursuant to this chapter and the
department́s
rules and
regulations,
except for institutions which have 200 beds or fewer and have had operating
losses for two of the three previous
years."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
