Amend
HB 692 by striking all matter on line 3 on page 1 and inserting in place thereof
the following:
terms and conditions of probation; to change the repeal date of the
“Probation Management Act of 2004”; to provide an effective date;
to provide for applicability;
By
adding a new section between lines 17 and 18 on page 2 to read as
follows:
SECTION
2.
Article
9 of Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to probation management, is amended by striking Code Section 42-8-160, relating
to the repealer, and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
“42-8-160.
This article shall be repealed in its entirety on July 1, 2006 June 30, 2008.”

By
striking all matter on lines 18 through 21 on page 2 and inserting in place
thereof the following:
SECTION
3.
(a)
Section 1 of this Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor
or upon its becoming law without such approval and shall apply to terms and
conditions of probation imposed on or after such
date.
(b) Section 2 of this Act shall become effective on June 15, 2006.
