BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Pembroke, approved March 28,
1985 (Ga. L. 1985, p. 4846), as amended, so as to revise Section 26 of Article
III of such Act; to change certain provisions relating to building permits; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating a new charter for the City of Pembroke, approved March 28, 1985
(Ga. L. 1985, p. 4846), as amended, is amended in Article III by striking
Section 26 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"SECTION
26.
The
city council shall have the authority to regulate and to license the erection
and construction of buildings and all other structures; to adopt building,
housing, plumbing, electrical, gas, and heating and air-conditioning codes; and
to regulate all housing and business
trades."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
