BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Marion County, approved
February 21, 1951 (Ga. L. 1951, p. 2880), as amended, so as to change the
compensation of the chairperson and members of the board of commissioners; to
provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Marion County, approved February 21,
1951 (Ga. L. 1951, p. 2880), as amended, is amended by striking Section 7 of
said Act and inserting in its place the following:
"SECTION
7.
The
chairperson of the board of commissioners shall receive the sum of $7,200.00 per
annum as compensation. Each of the other members of the board shall receive the
sum of $6,000.00 per annum as compensation. Such compensation shall be payable
in equal monthly installments from the funds of Marion
County."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
