BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Part 2 of Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 20 of the Official Code of
Georgia Annotated, relating to the University System of Georgia, so as to
provide that a student in an education degree program shall not be required to
join a professional association as a condition of enrollment; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Part
2 of Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to the University System of Georgia, is amended by adding at
the end thereof a new Code Section 20-3-87 to read as follows:
"20-3-87.
No
student in an education degree program in the university system shall be
required to join a professional association as a condition of enrollment in such
education degree
program."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
