BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act reconstituting the Board of Education of Marion County, approved
April 8, 2002 (Ga. L. 2002, p. 3794), as amended, so as to change the
provisions relating to the compensation of the members of the board; to provide
an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act reconstituting the Board of Education of Marion County, approved April 8,
2002 (Ga. L. 2002, p. 3794), as amended, is amended by striking Section 6 of
said Act and inserting in its place the following:
"SECTION
6.
Members
of the Board of Education of Marion County shall be compensated in the amount of
$200.00 for each day of attendance at meetings of the board and while meeting
and traveling within or outside the state as an agent of the board or as a
member of a committee of the board on official business first authorized by a
majority of the board, plus reimbursement for actual expenses necessarily
incurred in connection
therewith."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
