A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Code Section 50-18-72 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to exceptions from the requirements of public disclosure, so as to exempt disclosure of certain personal information; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Code Section 50-18-72 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to exceptions from the requirements of public disclosure, is amended by striking paragraph (13.1) of subsection (a) and inserting in its place a new paragraph (13.1) to read as follows:
"(13.1) Records that reveal the home address, the home telephone number, or the social security number of or insurance or medical information about public employees or teachers and employees of a public school. For the purposes of this paragraph, the term 'public school' means any school which is conducted within this state and which is under the authority and supervision of a duly elected county or independent board of education;"

SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval.

SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
