BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act providing for the board of education of Greene County, approved
March 12, 1986 (Ga. L. 1986, p. 3696), as amended, so as to increase the
compensation of the members and chairperson of the board; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing for the board of education of Greene County, approved March 12,
1986 (Ga. L. 1986, p. 3696), as amended, is amended by inserting a new section
to be designated Section 4 to read as follows:
"Section
4. The members of the board of education shall be compensated in the amount of
$100.00 for attendance at each meeting of the board. The chairperson of the
board shall be compensated in the amount of $150.00 for attendance at each
meeting of the board. The board may authorize payment of per diem for each day
of meeting and traveling within or outside the state and as a member of a
committee of the board on official business first authorized by a majority of
the board, plus reimbursement of expenses necessarily incurred in connection
with such meeting or
traveling."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
