BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Chapter 6 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to state health planning and development, so as to exempt licensed pharmacists
and their licensed agents, practicing under a home health agency or home
infusion agency, who administer injectable medications in a
patient́s
home from certificate of need requirements; to provide for related matters; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
6 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to state
health planning and development, is amended by striking "and" at the end of
paragraph (15), by striking "." at the end of paragraph (16) and inserting ";
and", and by adding a new paragraph (17) to the end of subsection (a) of Code
Section 31-6-47, relating to exemptions from chapter, to read as
follows:
"(17)
Licensed pharmacists and licensed practical nurses or registered nurses acting
as agents on behalf of such pharmacists, practicing under a home health agency
or home infusion agency, who administer injectable medications in a
patient́s
home."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
