Hamrick of the 30th and Mullis of the 53rd offered the following
amendment:
Amend
the Senate Judiciary Committee substitute to HB 216 by striking lines 15 and 16
of page 2 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"(5)
Until January 1, 2006, this subsection shall preempt all local ordinances or
regulations governing the retail sale of over the counter products containing
pseudoephedrine by a retail business except such local ordinances or regulations
that existed on or before December 31,
2004."
