BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, approved March 9, 1972 (Ga.
L. 1972, p. 152), as amended, particularly by an Act approved April 5, 1995 (Ga.
L. 1995, p. 4219), and an Act approved April 5, 1995 (Ga. L. 1995, p. 4221), so
as to provide an increase in the salary supplement for the superior court
judges; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, approved March 9, 1972 (Ga. L. 1972,
p. 152), as amended, particularly by an Act approved, April 5, 1995 (Ga. L.
1995, p. 4219), and an Act approved April 5, 1995 (Ga. L. 1995, p. 4221), is
amended by striking Section 2A of said Act in its entirety and inserting in lieu
thereof a new Section 2A to read as follows:
"SECTION
2A.
In
addition to the salary and expense allowances payable from state funds, each
judge of the Superior Courts of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit shall receive a
salary supplement of $1,500.00 per month from each county which comprises the
Alcovy Judicial
Circuit."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on July 1, 2006.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
