BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act approved May 2, 2005 (Ga. L. 2005, p. 563), so as to
revise the applicability of certain sections of such Act to apply to
insolvencies occurring on and after the effective date of the Act; to provide
for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws;
and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act approved May 2, 2005 (Ga. L. 2005, p. 563), is amended by
striking Section 24 and inserting in lieu thereof a new Section 24 to read as
follows:
"SECTION
24.
The
provisions of Section 12 of this Act shall apply to insolvencies that occur on
or after the effective date of this Act. All other provisions shall apply as of
the effective date of this
Act."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
