BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 15-6-3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
the terms of court for the superior courts, so as to change the terms of the
superior court in Gwinnett County; to provide for related matters; to provide an
effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 15-6-3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to terms of
court for the superior courts, is amended by striking paragraph (20) and
inserting in its place a new paragraph (20) to read as follows:
"(20)
GWINNETT
CIRCUIT:
Gwinnett
County — First Monday in
January,
March, May,
July,
June,
and
November
December
and second Monday in
September."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective August 1, 2006.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
