Aldeman of the 42nd and Hamrick of the 30th offered the following
amendment:
Amend
the Senate Judiciary Committee substitute to HB 1302 (LC 29 2411S) by inserting
on line 10 of page 1 after the first semicolon:
to
provide for disclosure of campus
policemeńs
records;
By
striking on lines 11 and 12 on page 5
"and
willfully fails to remove himself or herself from such premises after the
principal or designee of such schools requests him or her to do
so"
By
inserting before line 1 on page 6 the following:
SECTION
5.
Said
title is further amended by adding a new Code Section 20-8-7 to read as
follows:
"20-8-7.
Law
enforcement records created, received, or maintained by campus policemen that
relate to the investigation of criminal conduct and crimes as defined under
Georgia law and which are not subject to protection from disclosure by any other
Georgia law shall be made available within a reasonable time after request for
public inspection and
copying."
Redesignating
Sections 5, 6, and 7 as Sections 6, 7, and 8 respectively.
By
striking on line 14 of page 6 "5 and 7"
and inserting in its
place "6 and 8".
