BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Article 9 of Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to probation management, so as to change the repeal date of
the "Probation Management Act of 2004"; to provide for an effective date; to
repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Article
9 of Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to probation management, is amended by striking Code Section 42-8-160, relating
to the repealer, and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
∀42-8-160.
This
article shall be repealed in its entirety on
July 1,
2006
June 30,
2008.∀
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on June 15, 2006.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
