A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 47-16-40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to application for membership in the Sheriffs' Retirement Fund of Georgia and claim for prior service, so as to provide that a newly elected sheriff shall be eligible for membership upon the certification of the election by the Secretary of State; to provide conditions for an effective date and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
