A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 5 of Title 21 and Titles 36, 42, and 45 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating, respectively, to ethics in government; local government; penal institutions; and public officers, so as to provide for the comprehensive revision of provisions regarding ethics and conflicts of interest; to change certain provisions relating to the code of ethics for members of boards, commissions, and authorities; to provide for penalties; to provide for restrictions on the Governor's appointment power under certain circumstances; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
